About Me

Hello, my name is Chelsea Hancock and i'm a junior at Columbia College Chicago with a concentration in writing and producing. Having been involved many productions ranging from school, individual sketch productions as well as my work experience in the field from Des Plaines Media Services and Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes I have learned what it takes to survive in the television business. There are three standards that I live by: embrace stress and move forward, don’t overstep my boundaries and presentation is key. I love creating humor and making an audience laugh, it brings a light to my day and it’s all I’ve ever hoped to do.

I have written for Columbia’s live sketch comedy series FreqOut and for the taped sketch series Out On a Limb. I have assistant associate produced for the Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes television series for OWN. I have also had experience interviewing celebrities such as Demetri Martin, Topher Grace and The Blue Man Group through Columbia College’s Price of Admission. Though I will hold these experiences near and dear to my heart and apply the lessons I’ve learned to your show, what I really want to do is experience a writer’s room on a professional basis.
